I used First Island Realty for the recent Ironman World Championships 2022 in Kona, Hawaii. The event had been postponed 6 times over three years due to COVID.
Booking accommodation for the event is a complicated and hard process, many providers on AirBnB and VBRO accepted bookings, only later to cancel the booking, presumably to try and secure a higher price. Going through First Island Realty gave me piece of mind, the professional team were easy to deal with, responded quickly to queries and there were no complications. When the event was canceled and postponed multiple times there were no issues with refunds or rebooking.
Once I finally reached the Island for the race, the communication for the checkin process was easy and smooth. The location was fantastic, I was easy walking distance to the start, checkin, IM Village, finish, shops and restaurants. The bike and run actually went past the front door.
The accommodation was very well equipped for a two week stay, with both big and small things thought of to make things easy. Cooking utensils, basic supplies, towels, snorkel mask and container’s were all there.
